The state of Saxony-Anhalt has once again reacted to pandemic-related restrictions in university operations with the Special Standard Period of Study Ordinance of February 22, 2022 (GVBl. LSA 2022, p. 29). For students enrolled in a university degree program in Saxony-Anhalt in the winter semester 2021/2022 and not on leave of absence, a special standard period of study increased by one semester was set in this framework in deviation from the standard periods of study specified in the examination regulations. This means that students whose maximum funding period set by the Office for Educational Funding ends in March 2022 or September 2022 can continue to apply beyond these periods. Students whose maximum funding period ends later will receive information about the individually determined new maximum funding period with their next notification of educational funding.
