daycare center "Angelika Hartmann" in Köthen

Our daycare is named after the 1829 born Froebel pedagogue Angelika Hartmann. She founded Germany's first kindergarten in Köthen, where she also trained kindergarten teachers.

One of the main purposes of our educational work is to promote the ability to act creatively through active imaginative play, diverse artistic offerings and movement.

The children have a large open space with sandboxes and pieces of sporting equipment for sportive activities. The gym of Hochschule Anhalt - University of Applied Sciences is also used for athletic exercise. Children from the age of 3 have the opportunity to practice musical early education by attentind the music school and also to attend English courses for preschool children weekly.

Our children's facility is located opposite to the Hochschule Anhalt - University of Applied Sciences and, if necessary, primarily takes care of children of students who are parents. In addition, the house is of course also open to other children.

Our day care facility has a capacity of 125 places, of which 50 places are for the nursery and the remaining 75 places for kindergarten.
